Achievements 2007-2008
- In the FBC residents survey 2007, 89% of respondents felt that low crime makes Fareham a good place to live and 96% felt it was a safe and healthy place to live.
- Crime figures are down 10% compared to last year (2006) - this equates to over 500 less crimes
- Criminal damage figures are down 21%
- Safer Neighbourhood Teams are now established. These are lead by a SNT sergeant for a specific area who is in charge of both PC's and PCSO's.
- Monthly beat surgeries are now held across borough.
There has been a concerted effort to tackle alcohol misuse in the area and this has been achieved by
- Licensing enforcement and test purchasing in licensed premises.
- Street drinking ban (DPPO) across borough since June 2007
