Priorities

This year we produced our first Community Safety Partnership Strategic Assessment. (1,458Kb) pdf icon image    The Government requires every Local Authority to produce annual Assessments such as these to show what issues are affecting our area and to prioritise which of these issues the partnership will focus on for the coming year.  This means that local issues can be addressed intensively and if any new priorities emerge, the Partnership can respond to them more quickly.

The priorities agreed for 2008-2009 are:

  1. Criminal Damage
  2. Anti social behaviour
  3. Drugs and Alcohol Misuse
  4. Violent Crime

Links to Hampshire LAA priorities:

LAA Priority E. - Tackle crime and anti-social behaviour recognising the harm of drug and alcohol misuse

LAA Priority F. - Promote and improve the health and well being of people in Hampshire

LAA Priority H. - Empower local people to have a greater voice and influence over decision making and the delivery of services.

How we are going to tackle the priorities:

We have produced an action plan (316Kb) pdf icon image which provides details on what we are doing to tackle the priorities above.
